Here’s why Cubana Chiefpriest was absent from Davido and Chioma’s Miami white wedding

Cubana Chiefpriest x Davido & Chioma

Nigerian socialite and nightlife entrepreneur, Okechukwu Pascal, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, has explained the reason behind his absence at Afrobeats superstar Davido’s white wedding with Chioma Rowland Adeleke in Miami, USA, on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

The celebrity barman, who played a prominent role during the couple’s traditional wedding in Lagos, disclosed that he was unable to attend the lavish Miami celebration because his US visa application was denied.

In a heartfelt message shared online, Chiefpriest expressed mixed emotions, saying he was happy for the newlyweds but deeply saddened by his inability to physically join the festivities. He noted that his wife and family were present in Miami to represent him, adding that he was there “in body and spirit.”

“Sometimes, God has a way of reminding you that you are powerless, regardless of what you think you have,” he wrote. He further appealed to the US Embassy in Nigeria to reconsider his application, stating that the disappointment from his absence had given him more reason to reapply.

Despite the setback, Cubana Chiefpriest sent his best wishes to Davido and Chioma, describing their union as a “luxury blissful experience” and expressing hope that his next visa attempt would be successful.

The white wedding, tagged Chivido 2025, attracted high-profile guests and marked the final leg of the couple’s much-celebrated nuptials.
