Popular Nigerian indigenous singer, Small Doctor, has sparked conversation on social media with a safety warning directed at public transport users in Lagos and beyond.
The singer, whose real name is Adekunle Temitope, took to his official X handle to caution commuters against boarding mini-buses, locally called Korope, that have conductors. In his post, he claimed that a large percentage of such buses may be involved in suspicious or unsafe activities.
“If you come across a mini-bus (Korope) with a conductor, please do not board. Do not board. Do not board. 90% of them has another agenda. Be vigilant,” he wrote.
The tweet has since generated reactions online, with many echoing concerns about increasing insecurity in public transportation systems, especially within Lagos.
Small Doctor, known for his street credibility and connection with the grassroots, rose to national prominence with his hit song Penalty, which earned him the “Best Street Hop” award at The Headies in 2018. Born in Dopemu, Agege, Lagos, the singer hails from Ondo State and has remained a voice for the streets both musically and socially.
