Controversial social commentator and activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has shared surprising details about how singer Naira Marley reportedly dropped a planned defamation lawsuit against actress Iyabo Ojo, despite earlier vowing to take legal action.

In a new TikTok video, VDM expressed disappointment over the unexpected turn of events, stating that he was left stunned when Naira Marley chose to forgive Iyabo Ojo after she allegedly apologized in Yoruba during a meeting at the Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office.

VDM revealed that he had advised Naira Marley to stand his ground and seek justice, especially after Iyabo Ojo publicly accused the singer of being connected to the death of his former signee, Mohbad.

“I told Naira Marley to detain Iyabo Ojo. I told him to lose his cool the moment we entered the Police Commissioner’s office. Tell them her words ruined your image and career. He agreed,” VDM recounted.

However, he claimed things took an unexpected turn once Iyabo Ojo offered an apology in Yoruba. “The moment Iyabo apologised in Yoruba, Naira Marley forgave her. I almost died where I was sitting. I was so upset,” VDM lamented.

According to him, Sam Larry, who was also present at the meeting, was equally shocked and broke down in tears upon witnessing the singer’s swift change of heart. “Samlarry protested it. He couldn’t believe it. I was even signalling Naira Marley not to accept the apology. I knew Iyabo wouldn’t keep her word,” VDM added.

This revelation comes just days after VDM stirred controversy by hinting at the unreleased DNA results of Liam, the son of late singer Mohbad, further fueling ongoing tensions surrounding the tragic death.

As of now, Iyabo Ojo has not responded publicly to the claims made by VDM.
