Israeli airstrikes kill 30 in Gaza’s Nuseirat

At least 30 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed following a fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza’s central Nuseirat district, according to Gaza’s civil defence authorities.

The deadly strikes, which struck the densely populated Nuseirat refugee camp, were carried out overnight and continued into Tuesday morning, July 29, 2025, leaving widespread devastation.

“The strikes targeted a number of citizens’ homes,” said Mahmud Basal, spokesman for the Gaza civil defence agency. He confirmed that rescue operations were still underway amid the rubble of flattened residential buildings.

Footage from the scene showed emergency crews pulling bodies from destroyed structures as anguished residents searched for missing family members.

The latest assault adds to the already staggering toll of the conflict, with civilians once again bearing the brunt of the violence. International agencies and human rights groups have repeatedly raised alarm over the impact of ongoing military actions on non-combatants in Gaza.

The Israeli military is yet to officially comment on the strikes in Nuseirat at the time of this report.
